![]() ![]() That's basically what it really is, right? you have a safe, and the key to this safe, but that safe is inside another safe to which you do not have the key for, and this key changes every few minutes or so, making it even more difficult for the burglar to break in and take the contents of the internal safe. Yes, yes, Denuvo isn't DRM per se but the way it's being applied IS second-layer DRM, since its purpose is to protect another DRM mechanism, follow my logic here. It's just there to run actual DRM code uniquely on your computer and they don't suffer performance problems that anyone has ever measured. Nguyên văn bởi Kaldaien:Not really DRM though, since it doesn't know whether you own the game being played or not. You probably were not aware that when a Denuvo anti-tamper protected game is cracked, Denuvo remains but SteamAPI is removed. You can take a game with no DRM whatsoever, remove SteamAPI and performance goes up. The cracked copies of most Steam games run better than the uncracked because they have eliminated SteamAPI. Not really DRM though, since it doesn't know whether you own the game being played or not. an unprotected or cracked copy, plus optional implications of DRM at the discretion of publisher - such as third-party online activation mechanisms, etc. In the end, legitimately licensed games protected with Denuvo suffer from a performance penalty vs. It also offers code-scrambling and obfuscation capabilities to slow down crackers, all at the cost of performance while you're running the game. Svetstachio:What is the point of Denuvo?ĭenuvo is a second-layer DRM which applies anti-tamper, constantly triggering itself to verify whether another DRM module (such as Steam's) is still loaded and intact. How many "Why can't I get 60fps?" threads have you been in where the OP insists that using Intel integrated graphics should be enough? I suppose that was fixed.ĭude do you know what forums you are posting on right now? Steam users are notorius for having really bad hardware then blame the game. I watched some pre release videos with the frame rate dropping because of the drm check. ![]() I honestly haven’t played the game on pc. The thing runs at 60 FPS on the switch, but doesn’t have garbage drm. Do you work for Denuvo? Who the hell plays on a 50hz monitor? I’m sure most people have upgraded from their Amstrad. The main issue of slowdowns with the game is actually that they locked the gameplay to the frame rate, and the frame rate to the refresh rate of the monitor, so if your monitor is running at 50 Hz you're going to have a bad time with a 16% slowdown. Hell, I can even play Sonic Mania in a virtual machine at 60 FPS without noticing any performance impact. ![]()
